Font help

Dear User,   

If you are not able to read Kannada, then please go through the following instructions.

There is no need to install Kannada font in case you see junk when the page is loaded completely. We are using dynamic font. You have to follow certain steps depending on the browser you are using. Follow the steps mentioned below.

Internet Explorer 5.5 on Windows or Mac

If you see junk . . .

1. Right click on the screen.
2. Move the mouse on Encoding Click on User Defined.
3. If you do not see User Defined, move the mouse on More Click on User Defined.

 

















If you see boxes in between text . . .

1. Right click on the screen.
2. Click on Auto-select.

Netscape Navigator 4.03 and above

Go to Edit at the top of your browser menu bar

1. Click at 'Preferences'.
2. Choose 'Fonts' under 'Appearances'.
3. Select, 'Use document-specified fonts, including Dynamic Fonts' (Click again).
4. Select 'View', 'Encoding' and then 'Western(ISO-8859-1)' option.
5. Click the 'OK' button.












Reload the browser holding SHIFT key.

Currently Netscape 6.0 and above doesn't support our fonts. We regret the inconvenience caused. As soon as our font vendor comes out with an updated version we will use them on our portal.

Important : At times even after making the required changes in Internet Explorer [IE] or Netscape Navigator you may not see the Kannada text. Clear the cache and restart the browser.

Opera users


You need to download the Kannada font and install it in the fonts directory. Please restart the system once the font is installed properly.
